Hi All,
I recently purchased a used 75 AGA (not drilled) with a 20L sump. I don't like the return plumbing that came with it. It looks like it will siphon off about 6 inches of water when the main pump is shut off.
For those of you that don't have reef ready tanks, what sort of returns are you using on your systems?
Thanks,
Mike

I use the CPR overflows and they work great. If you want to come see how they work I am a short drive from you. I am in Abingdon near Bel Air Maryland.

Return plumbing ------ just drill a small hole in the line right at or just below the water level.
That will break the siphon when the return pump is not on.

Thank you both for your replies. I will drill holes in the returns.
Chuck - I would love to come by and see your setups. Let me talk to the boss (my wife) and see when I can make it. Thanks for the offer.

Yeah Dave pointed out something I completely left out. I must have been hazy as I just read the post was return lines /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/moron.gif
I zeroed in on non reef ready tanks and commented about CPR overflows I feel dumb.
