Protein Skimmers ?

I would like to hear from people regarding Lifereef Protein Skimmers. I'm very interested in the new venturi ones with the new CVC device ?
Also please reply back with other skimmers you would recommend.

Can't tell you about the Lifereef skimmers but I highly recommend Aqua-C skimmers.

I have a friend that uses a tall lifereef skimmer. I think it has a 24" reaction chamber. It stands about 36" tall. It is a constructed very well, heavey 1/4" cast tube and 1/2" thick cast flanges. I am pretty sure lifereef offers a 5 year warrantee, thats hard to beat. Most people dont make it through the hobby that long.
The skimmer seems to produce well, but I only see it on occasion so take that for what its worth. The venturi cleaning thing sucks condensation from the collection cup and draws it through the air port of the venturi. If you do get a LR, go for the flanged top over the sealed unit, JMO
