I was reading the post below about moving mushrooms, would this work also to peel some hairy mushrooms from the rockwork..they are starting to travel to much and want to get two of them out of a certain area, plus I believe they have a powerful sting...also if you can not get all of it off the rock which I am guessing that will be the case, will any part left of the rock grow a new mushroom??

Thanks

Dave, yes, if any part of the mushroom is left on the rock I would expect it to regrow. I had some of those lime green hairy mushrooms on a rock at the bottom of my 180 and was getting rid of them. The guy came over to pick them up and we ended up tearing one to get the rock out. I noticed the other day it is now a very small perfect shaped new mushroom. If you can scrape it off the rock and be sure to get all of it you may have a better chance of none left to regrown. You might also try to kalk. the bit left if you cannot get all of it. You might could also shade that spot and see if no light getting there will cause what is left over from regrowing. HTH...

I tried moving one of my shroom rocks and ripped one in half, it took about 2 weeks to turn into a new round mushroom, now I can't even tell.
