I had the opportunity to purchase a 110 RR Oceanic tank and a 120 RR All Glass tank (both tanks includes stand, cover, lights, overflow kits, etc). The place I bought these from now has a 155 Bow Front RR All Glass that is about 800 less then the combined price for the two I bought. The store is willing to exchange the two for the one and credit the difference. However they tell me the Oceanic is Superior to All Glass. Is this true? I like the looks of the 155, plus the larger size, but also thought having two large tanks for different areas of the house would be nice. If I traded in for the 155, I could just replace the old 55 gal tank I have (scratched up) with a new one. Besides wondering if the Oceanic is better then All Glass, would a 155 gallon be better for maintance and maintaining the reef enviroment, or would the 110 and 120 be just as good allowing for two seperate reef enviroments?

Maybe I'm wrong but I was under the impression that all glass is owned by oceanic, personally I would go with the 155, you have less money tied up in it, and you don't have all the maintenance that multiple tanks involves. As far as tank quality is concerned I own both and cant tell any difference other than oceanic had more color/wood options when I ordered mine, In the end you are going to live with your choice for a long time so think about it for awhile, I wish I would have went larger than I did, most people do. Just my two cents

Yes Oceanic is a better built higher quality tank. Oceanic owns all-glass but that is about it they bought them out a few years ago.
In the long run and short run the 155 will be cheaper for setup and maintiance compared to 2 tanks but with 2 tanks you could setup to different systems like a sps calm tank with halides in one and a lps softie tank with VHO on the other.
With the 155 you have more options for larger fish but with the 2 tanks you can probably have a few more and different ones in diff tanks that dont get along.
If money is not a problem I would go with 2 tanks and have more options.

From my experience, one tank is better than multiple. I have had multiple tanks for years and the lesser doesn't get the attention is deserves.

As for Bowfront, that would be a personal choice. I myself do not care for viewing a bowfront tank still looks distorted to me when viewing at angles. Also, have never been impressed with factory stands/canopies for the bowfront. Building or having one custom made is more difficult because of the curve vs. rectangular. I would rather have a standard 180g.
