I was looking at buying the modular system..chemical, mech, heater, etc and wanted some opinions on this equipment as I cant seem to find it carried by a lot of internet stores nor any reviews on it.

If you are doing a reef system there is no need for this as all filtration is handled by the Live rock and Sand bed. So in retrospect this would be a very expensive heater. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

This kind of filters look cool but a much safer and more efficient way is the natural filtration method.

Use this system on my 75.

I have the 2' heater module, mechanical and chemical modules. As well as the 3' 25W UV.

What's good about them is that ALL of your tank water goes through them so you are getting 100% contact. I wouldn't run my tank without them. JMO

Waking up an older thread. I am considering these heater modules. What brand of heaterdid you go with? Will any heater work in these as I am having an equally hardtime finding info on the net. I'm already going with the mechanical and chemical units.
