I have a 29 gallon tank and I would like to put a protein skimmer on it as I do not have one on now. Does anyone have suggestions as to which way to go. I don't know if I should use an in-tank skimmer instead or what?
Thanks Matt

Do you plan on adding a sump to your setup or are you just going with the main tank with nothing else? If it is a hang-on that you are looking for, I recommend the Aqua-C Remora Pro. It is quiet and has a pretty slim profile. I have one on my 55 and it is working great. They have a great line of skimmers.

Aqua-C all the way. The Remora is a good choice for that small of a tank.

Avoid the Red Sea Prism. I have one on my 20 gal. I am constantly having to tune it. I also have to remove it from the tank and completely clean it every two weeks. This includes removing the pump and lift tube.

Live and learn. You get what you pay for.

The remora was one I was looking at, but what about the cpr backpack?

There have been comparisons between the cpr and remora pro. The remora outpreformed the cpr hands-down in all areas. Here is a link to that comparison: Thereefweb.com skimmer test (http://www.thereefweb.com/protein_skimmer_comparison.htm)
Good luck - Jared.
