On a happier note besides my electrical problems I have a candy cane that had only 3 very large heads...the largest head began dividing about 3 weeks ago and is not almost done but the nice thing is it divided into 4 seperate little heads..I was very happy..at the beginning I thought it would divide in half, but to my suprise it went four ways..I have to get a new camera..my 1.2MP HP Camera does not really take that good of pictures and it is giving me problems with the pictures I am taking..which is to bad because I have some Monti. cap that is scrolling very nicely and I would have like to record the growth with some pictures...when you look at your tank day in and day out the growth seems small to you...I was away for 3 or 4 days over MLK day and when I got back I could definetly notice growth on my corals because I had not looked at the tank in a few days..the progress pictures work nice because it helps you remember exactly what your coral looked like in the beginning..any good recommendations on a decent camera for $300.00 or under...I think I should be able to get something along the lines of a 3.0MP for $300.00 or less..any thoughts..I will try a picture tonight to see if it is worth posting

Thanks

$250 will get you the Canon A40 2 Mpix. The nice thing is, it's got 3x optical zoom, and you can add macro and telephoto optionals to it for around $100 each more. That way, you can get really nice photos, and if you want better, then you can add on later. For me, the niceset feature is the manual shutter mode, that allows you to take pics from 1/1500th of a second, clear up to 15 seconds!

Doug, I have 2 color morphs of candy cane. One being a neon green that is indeed a light lover. The other is the brown with green centers. It is much happier lower in my system. The growth rates of these 2 corals is like day and night. The neon green grows easily twice as fast as the other. The brown with green centers will not take to being any higher than mid to low in my 180 under 250w iwasakis. The green is happy in the top quarter of the tank.

Thanks Sue.
Mine is the brown version. I grabbed a frag from a friend and have been moving it around under my 400,s Just cant seem to make it happy. Perhaps to much light. Will move it down.
