I recently purchased a bubble tip anenome and everything seemed fine, until I woke up the other morning and found it stuck in the filter. It looked like his insides were pulled out. I managed to get him free but he lost some of his tentacles in the process. He is moving around and his tentacles are inflating. My question is will he regenerate himself or is he doomed. Thank You.

It all depends on what was harmed. I have had an anemone get caught but tentacles where all that were harmed. I would say that if he was in overall health and the damage is not too entensive he will regenerate. Only time will tell in this matter.

Sometimes the silver lining is that it may split in order to save itself. That's how I got my rose. A buddy had it split after getting damaged in a Powerhead.....

I have had mine get caught twice in a power head. The first time I noticed, the water when I got up in the morning was very cloudy and there were things floating around the tank this is when I discovered him caught in the intake he was all puffed up and quite a few tentical less if I do say. But he did bounce back then He did it again on a different one located at the top of the tank. But he is a tough little bugger and is doing great he is home to 2 true back perculas that I think may even mate.

Since you said that you recently purchased it, it sound like it is just in search of a happy location to call home /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

My green carpet which was getting rather large would do this quite often in the powerhead...I was starting to think he liked it, maybe he had an itch...anyway happened so often I gave it to a friend, but it never hurt him much at all...
