nice tank omegatron.I have problems with acros and sinularias. The problem is not death its growth of some acros. All my corals are growing very fast but two acros.I know some one is going to say,its the species of the acro. But the two that are laging i had befor the sinularias and the growth was fast.To make it short,i think we sould have a forum on corals that dont get along.Peaple i know and me have sold alot of corals we liked but could not keep.

Soft corals have been known to interfere with SPS corals no surprise there. Also one thing to understand also is are you supplying enough for them to grow in lighting nutrients calcium etc.

Okay I do not see a tank size but assuming it is 6 feet long at least since you have 3 halides depending on the size and positioning of the acro's in question it could just be lack of light intensity. 175 watt halides are not that much PAR. I use 2 400watt lights over a 120 which is 4 foot long.

I would say that is enough light for a 75gallon. Not alot but enough. 175watt halides are only 63 PAR each. I assume what you are trying to say from your posts that your lighting is 7 inches above the water line. That is fine. I would have to say that light is fine for most SPS. You might have trouble with certain species but most likely you have those two SPS being effected by the chemical slime coming from sinularia. Remember some SPS corals also take a while to setting in and grow so do not discount them yet. You may fine next year those two to be your best growers.
