I have a 180 gal tank that is about a year and a half old. I bought 25 snails back then and now it is insane how many snails just keep showing up. In the overflows I counted approz 75 baby snails the other day. Is this a bad thing? If so how do i stop it...if not..woo hoo.
thanks.
fish4fun, thats great. Grow them out and sell them to your LFS for credit or whatever. I see baby snails all the time but none grow up it seems.

I wish I had a grow out tank, I also saw two baby brittle stars the other day. I left them alone but I dont see them anymore...I wonder if they will make it?
They should make it. I have literally thousands of the tiny white brittle stars in both sump and rocks. I have also seen some that are a bit bigger that have tiger striped legs. If I pick up a rock or soemthing it can be completely covered underneath with these stars.

Hey Sue T, would you be interested in selling a few hundred of those stars? I had a heater break about 7 months ago and lost them all along with a lot of other animals, I loved those little guys.
