Well I decided it was time.... time to remodel my lighting situation. I currantly have 4x96 watt and 6x55 watt pc's going in my 125 gal tank. I now have the money to take out 4x55watt pcs and put in 2x250 watt 6500k MH bulbs. Now I will have the lighting setup to have acopora. I was wondering how long I should leave a screen on before my corals I have now are used to the new bulbs. Also I have 2 4inch cooling fans should I get more and completly build a new canopy??? or are the 2 4inch fans alright?? Thanks for any insight.

You do not need to use any screen. If you can not adjust the height of the lighting and slowly lower it then simply start with a decreased photo period and move up to full exposure.

Heating issue will depend on open you canopy is and how high the halide bulbs will be above the water line. If the canopy is fairly open and the halides are are atound 12" above the water line then you maybe be able to get by with a couple of fans.
If the halides will be close to the water surface you may have to build a new canopy or add risers to your current canopy.
The real way to find out is see when they lights arrive.
