Doing the Phyto thing.

Well just harvested my second batch of Nano phytoplanton today. Ended up with little over a half a gallon to use on my tanks till next wednessday when the next batch is ready. This is a lot cheaper than buying DT's phyto and dont have to go to the store to get it anymore.
I am only doing 2-2liter bottles a week and seems to be doing good. This batch is darker than the first batch.
Have to thank mx_tang for the starter culture to get it going and the fertalizer I needed for also.

Here is a pic of my little cultering center. It is all done inside a 200 gall instant ocean salt bucket other than the air pump is out side of it.

Looks cool I have thought about doing this myself. Never got around to it. What type are you growing?

It is NANO the same stuff in DT's.
It is actually pretty easy once you get it going
