I got me a 5 gallon tank which only about half the size of a ten gallon hat. Anyway this tank of mine is cloudy and I don't know q'why.

It t'was perfectly clear yesterday but I decided to tangle with it and change out some water on aconna I had me some extree water to do some changin with.

So I goes about changin the water with my extree water that I had extree and everythin done clouded up on me. I first thought he must be the good ol' fashioned downsouth sand I gots in there that amounts to about 2 and a half inches or so of sand. I also gots me some rubble on aconna I cain't afford the real live rock. I figure if I can do this without spend too much of my hog rasslin money the better. The only beast I got in there I got for free which is none other than one of them fancy green mantis that I likes to call flash. I also gots me one of them blue damsel that I call BB cause he like to play dem blues my woman prefers to call him fee fee cuz it tain't nothing but a damsel in distress. I also got me two hairy crabs. the big one I call harold cuz I like to be different and the small I don't call nothing cuz I'm trying to keep him beet down like my pappy always says kick 'em while they is down and run like hell. I figure since I cain't swim I'll just pretend he ain't there and call him nothin.

So my problem is that I gots this cloudy tank. Now it ain't so cloudy that I cain't see nothin but it's cloudy enough. I do another water change but I'm tryin to do this on the cheap and everywhere I read dem folks say they don't change water but once a month or so.

Anyone gots any insite for my cloudy tank? Do you think I could put one of them tangs in there? I could feed it seaweeds and such and I would love it and take good care of it but only when the tank ain't cloudy will I considerate on putting in one of them tangs.

You aint got one of those catfishes you fished up there at the pond in there do you cause it could stirred it all up diggin for food an such.
If not I thinkin it just that sand you got from hog pit out back.
How long you have that there thing runnin anyway the sand prob not covered with that there bacteria nough yet to holds it down good if it be farly new and all.

Well that downsouth sand been in there fer a while now. Maybe a good month or so. Or as maw always says Moon is spelt moon.

I thought maybe flash was back to his muderous self and done went and kilt somethin and thats what got everythin all clouded up. harold and fee fee seem to be fine when I can see em I mean it ain;t so cloudy that I cain;t see em the just hides mostly in the rubble which is q'why I cain't see em.

I though the cloudiness t'would go away bye now on aconna its been some 24 hours since I tangles with that tank. there'sa dude I know that a real hard man and he thinks maybe things is clowdy on aconna the calcium is precipitating. Now the only kind of precipitation that my pappy done told me about t'was the kind they call rain and as far as I can tell its mostly water. So do you think this hard man is thinkin that it's raining calcium? that's makes sense cuz milk is white and thats full of calcium. I didnt know a person could milk a tank. Do tangs like milk?

I donts thinks it be rainin no calcium unless you go and dump some calcium stuff in there to send it the tree.
Unless it be stinking like your brother the day before his weekly bath I dont thinks it be any thing dead in there being the size of that there fancy glass box you would be smelling somin funny.
May be that mantis of yours is diggin him self a new home and stirring up that there sand.

More than likely your Flash got up set from you changing the water near were he likes to be. So he is making a new home. If the sand doesn't settle down in a week then let us know. It took a while for the sand in my pond to settle down, and every time I do anything in there, it gets stirred back up. It will take a while for the bacteria to build up and the sand will stay on the bottom of the tank.
