hello everyone,
i've finally decided to get a calcium reactor after months of debating whether or not I really needed it.
I was just curious where people in NJ get their CO2 tanks filled. I wanted to know which companies fill tanks and not exchange filled tanks for the one you bring in since I have a new CO2 tank.
Thanks for the help...

I would check into PaintBall Places since they use it for that purpose as well....Also check into places that sell beer taps and such...

Joe,
Just a word of caution about the above advice Bob gave you. I have been running a reactor for some time now. I was a bit miffed when I was confronted with exchanging a tank. However I would stay away from paintball CO2 suppliers. Most of those tanks are laced with Oil. I used to manage a Sports Authority and I can tell you that it is a common practice. Most places that sell gas can sell you pure CO2 in stainless steel containers. Gas suppliers that is. There are not many who fill without exchange though. I have exchanged tanks for some time now without any worries. I get a 5lb stainless steel container every two months. I have had no problems with doing things this way.

AGL welding supply...they are through out NJ. I don't have the exact locations, but there is one on rte 46 west in Clifton, Cost 25.00 for a 15lb tank fillup.

thanks for all the replies...
omegatron...thanks for the heads up. I was reading up on the korallin and they also don't recommend paintball CO2 'cause of the oil that you mention...THANKS /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Katspaw...I passed by absolutely fish this past weekend and I think he mentioned that place. Do they fill CO2 tanks that you bring in? Or do they do the swap method? Thanks for the help /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

They do the swap method, there tanks are clean and they have alot of reefers that get their CO2 from them. So far I haven't had a problem.
