I just purchased an australian sailfin a week ago had a very very little spike of ammonia. Used ammonia detox and now have 0 ammonia 0 nitrite. Now this is the problem theres a sale at my fish store $25 for a purple tang and $25 for a yellow should i purchase both now and risk the ammonia levels jumpin high again or pass up this great deal and wait till everything settles down???? (P.s.) I have to get both at once or risk one becoming territorial and killing the other.

Well the tank is 6 foot long so the Tangs have some room to swim around in. If this is a fish only tank I would say no problem. If this is a reef tank I would think twice about adding fish this size. That would make 3 good size fish whatever else you have in there as well with corals. The main concentration on a reef tank and bioload is corals.
Also to watch is your ammonia spike. On a normal functioning tank there would be no spike that is detectable.

For fish bioload, 1 inch fish per 6 gallons of water.
