How exactly do you add live plankton to your system? I am setting up a reef in the future and I was wondering if you can order live plankton (example: from Indo Pacific Sea Farms) and add it to your system. Will the plankton stay alive and reproduce in your system or will they all just kinda die out? If this idea is completely off the wall? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif I just haven't been able to find much info on trying to add it to your aquarium. Thanks!

You can buy it of course and add it to your aquarium. Best if introduced in a refugium.
Most aquariums will grow sufficient supplies if they lack tons of predators in a number that would feed on it. Alot of people who see little if any plankton is a result of over predation in the form of too many fish etc.
In time your tanks will mature and produce a supply for you if you do not over populate your tank. You can see the amphipods and coepods better at night.
There are plankton reactors on sale on the internet where you can produce your own supply also.
