I am planning on building my sump soon and wanted to know if anyone had a good place to purchase Acrylic sheets or a good box to start with and what would be the best Bonding agents to use.

I go to Home Depot and get acrylic sheet and bonding agent. Try using at least a number 16 solvent. This has worked for me.

what thickness did you get at Home Depot. When I went they only had like 1/4 thickness, which I thought was too thin.

1/2 inch thick. If your Home Depot does not have it go to another local hardware store.

1/4" is ffine, most aquariums upto 55 Gal are a 1/4". 3/8" is used upto 125 gal and 1/2" 150 up. I have a 4' 75 gal that is made out og 3/8" front and back, but the ends, bottom and top are 1/4". My 180 gal is 1/2". You can get 1/4", 3/8" 1/2" even up 2 2 1/2" on ebay for around 2 to 3 dallors a square foot. A 2' x 4' sheet would starte at about $16. I was watching 2, 3/8", 2' x 4' sheets that closed at $51 which is a gteat price. I bought a 1/4" of blue that was 4' x 8' for $130 at a local plastic supplier. There are several world wide. GE Poylmershapes, National Plastics and Meyers Plastic to name a few.
