i'm upgrading my light setup and decided to go with 150watt hqi lights.the bulbs are icecap hqi 10000k.i wondering if anyone is using these and if i will need to keep actinics running?also, does anyone use sunlight supply's blue wave ballast and reef opix 3 system?i would like to hear comments about them. thanks

I use the Sunlight Supply setup with the dual hqi ballast. The equipment is very well made. As for the Ushio bulbs they are a little on the yellow side. Most people run them with actinic. I run the AB bulbs and do not use actinic. the color is more white with a hint of blue. After my corals have grown out I will probably switch to a 20K bulb to accentuate the coral colors.

I use the Ushio 10k bulbs and I personally find them to be white with a hint of blue.
