/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I have a 135gal set up, 72x18x24. Currently I'm using two 45watt 48" 10k's, and two 45watt 48" actinic's. I plan on keeping some soft corals, anemone's, live rock/sand, etc, etc. I know my lighting right now probably won't suffice. I can't really afford MH. Which would be a better choice, VHO or PC? And any ideas on what I should run would be greatly appreciated! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Thanks,

I would go with either VHO or T5's as I hear that there is a long than 4ft t5 on its way really soon. Either way it wont be cheap. VHO you could possible get by with a single ballast if you only run 3 60" bulbs but that will only supply light for some low light corals and that is about it.

Well I would go with VHO. You can fit 6 VHO over an 18 wide tank. You do not have to do this all at once. You could say go with 4 VHO and 2 regular to begin with. I would go with two ballasts for the 4 VHO. Get once that runs 2 bulbs as you can place each set on a different timer so all the lights do not operate at once giving a sunup sundown thing going on.
