I would have to second the Aqua-C. I personally have not used one but have read lots of good overall reviews on them and am actually loooking for one for my 36 bowfront sea horse tank.

They come with a surface skimming box. However the oily surface is a design flaw usually. That usually happens on systems with no sumps as the surface water is not skimmed off where the organics collect. Anyone who runs a sumpless system I always suggest to add one. This is also a surfave water flow issue as well.
