I have a brittle star that is trapped in my overflow wall. Yes, I said wall /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. The overflow in the corner of the tank has about a 1/4" cavity which is accessible, via 30 1"x1/8" slots, at the botton only. There are also slots at the top for water to overflow through. The bittle star entered the lower slots when it was young, about 8 months ago, and now has grown too big to fit back out. I just see tentacles once in a while when it roams over the slots on the bottom. Is there a way to get it out? Or do I let it live/die in there?

If it has lived this long there it will be should be fine. They just scavengers that pick up excess foods and stuff and oviously there is plenty getting to it to keep growing.

I know it is doing fine in there, since it is still alive and has grown quite a bit. My angst is that I cannot enjoy it because I cannot see it.....ever. Occassionaly I see a tentacle or two, but that's it. I would rather it be under a rock in the main area so I could see a tentacle or two....more often ;-)
Thanx for the feedback.
