Sounds like a carnation but I could be wrong. Need a pic or something to know what coral it is you have.

i cant take a picture at this moment but i would like general info on fragging. ex what its about, what type of glue, do you take the coral out of the water while you cut. do you use an ordanary metal razor blade to cut.

Puffer,
if it is a soft coral then you can't use super glue. you would use a razor blade to cut the coral piece off and then use one of several methods to place it onto a piece of rock. One way is to place the cut piece in a jar with rubble at the bottom and then place the jar in you tank. In about a week the coral will have attached to a piece of the rubble. This works well for zoo's, and mushrooms. Another way is to stick a toothpick throught the lower part of the cut piece and then rubberband the ends of the toothpick to a rock, and again after about a week the piece will attach to the rock. The thrid way is to put like a hairnet over the cut piece of coral and the rock and again wait for about a week for the piece to attach. HTH... Now, not all corals can be fragged, so make sure you know that you can frag the coral before you slice and dice it up.
