Reverse Osmosis Filters

Okay, I am a bit confused about the ro units that are Hi-S and DI. Personally I think the Hi-S and DI are really expensive. So for a reef system is just a regular RO Unit still going to help with removing chemicals/silicate/phosphates/whatever else? I was thinking like barebones or just a 3 stage RO Unit.

RO units will work fine but the DI really helps keep the water extra clean and makes a big difference in fresh water quality. THere are a few places on line that specialize in RO/Di units that you pick up for around $200.
