My magnesium is very high as well is my alkalinity. What should I do? I have a 18 Gallon with 74 total watts of PC's. The tank is about 3 months old. I have only 1 damsel fish and about 20 lbs. of LR. I have no corals in my tank as of yet because I'm waiting for my tank to mature first before rushing in. I leave my lights on about 8 hours per day and I have a small cleanup crew consisting of hermits, snails and one green emerald crab. I do a 10% water change bimonthly. My water parameters are as follows:

Salinity 1.024
Ph 7.8-8.0 (LOW)
Alkalinity 14 dkh
Calcium 440
Magnesium 1622 mg (High)
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Temp 79-80

I add about 2 cups of distalled water every day to top of my water level. I heard that Kent marine makes a product called R/O Right, does anyone recommend it?

Thanks

your par sounds pretty good. Ph is always hard to get to the perfect 8.2 I dont even test it anymore gave up on it my salf.
Alk is not to bad should come down on its own. Magnesium I dont test for so have no idea what it should be at.
Never heard of the R/O right stuff. Just get water a at water store that sells RO water is your best bet.
