OT: output water from RO/DI

Kinda an off topic, but...

Would it be harmful to use the "waste" water output from an RO/DI filter in a fresh water system?

Logically, it is 5 gallons in and 1 gallon RO/DI water plus 4 gallons "waste" water. Seems like the 4 gallons will have only the minerals from one extra gallon...

Anyone know if it would be harmful to freshwater fish?

I would not suffest it. That water is worse than water out of the tank. YOu can try it if you like though just keep a close eye on things.

dont try it... been there done that and the fish die, good thing it was for feeders for my lion
