hey,
i've had my 40 for about 1/2 year now and i was thnking about setting up a mini reef. i was wondering how much L.R. i would need i have 2 perc clowns, one yell tang, 3 blue-green chromis and a blood red fire shrimp. i was also wondering how it is you can clean the substrate after placing all the live rock down, it wounds difficult and inaccurate to take it out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif im new to reefs so any help would be appreciated!

I usally start with 1 lb of live per gall and see how that looks and add a little more if I feel it is needed.
It is best to use a suger sized sand for substrate so the detris stays on top of the sand to be removed by clean up crew or protien skimmer then you dont have to clean your gravel.
