A few decent hob skimmers are the Viaaqua multi skimmer around $100, Cpr back pack with is around 150 and the remora skimmers which are around $200 but all can be found for a decent used price. Then there is always those seaclones which arent the best but will do their job those you can find for under 50 online.

If you’re using a sump go with the AquaC EV120 with Mag-Drive 5. I’m sure there are other skimmers that work fine, but my internet research pointed to AquaC and I haven’t been disappointed. I’ve had mine up and running for two months and it is very easy to maintain, and appears to be working great. Like I said, there are many skimmers that will work, but everyone I’ve chatted with who has an AquaC skimmer swear by them.

For a tank your size, the AquaC hang on's are very good skimmers, as raven7004 mentioned if you do have a sump there is a better variety of skimmers available, such as the in sump AquaC's, ASM skimmers....and most will do a tank considerable larger than yours which is good in case you wanted to upgrade in the future..

If you can always buy bigger than you need so you can use it on a larger system down the road or if you decide to add a sump or anything else to it you will be covered.
