I am ready to start adding a few corals and would like to know other than Mushrooms what would be good starter soft and or hard coral for my 40 gallon tank.

I would recommend leathers, such as toadstool , or finger, leathers are a great beginners coral

I've always had pretty crazy luck with some of the pulsating xenia's... they propegate pretty well and don't need crazy amounts of light or perfect water conditions.

Green stars, colt, cauliflower are easy the pulsing xenia are really cool looking reef weeds once you get them in your tank they are almost impossible to get rid of and spread really fast trust me I know, they look neat but stay away from them

Any of your leathers, m'rooms, and polyps for the most part are going to be great beginer corals
