What is an acceptable temperature change for a reef tank with perculas and anemones? I'm afraid that my tank has been swinging too hot and cold within the same day. It's 72 F at night and 78 F during the day. Is the 6 degrees too much? Also how do you know if the water has enough oxygen? 125 gallon reef tank with Power compact lighting, runs 9 hours. Single power head + cartridge filter pump + skimmer for water movement.

6 degrees is a lot of swing, you must not be using a heater, I would get one if you aren’t using one and if you are you should adjust it so the temp stays 78-80. 78-79 is what most shoot for in a reef tank. I would definitely add a few more power heads; your skimmer depending on size is probably providing almost all of the oxygen your tank is getting. I would add 3 more power heads and try to get at least one of them real close to the surface to get some more surface agitation to help get more oxygen in the tank.
