green hairy mushrooms

Question for forum readers ?? I am new to reef keeping but determined not to let it get the best of me. I have lost many, corals as a result of a cooper problem, which I have since taken care of. I purchased many new corals and everything seemed to be doing great untill I went on vacation ! Water in tank evaporated below overflow causing the filtering system to shut down also because the water level dropped the salinity spiked . Well to make a long story short I have tank back up to par. Lost a few corals and am curious about my colony of green hairy mushrooms that I have been nursing. Several have just melted away or are in real bad shape. Is there any way to save or frag these. Any help as to nursing them would be appreciated! John :

If you have some that still look reasonable you can cut pieces like a pizza that catch the mouth and then either glue them to a rock or use nylon "veil" material to hold them down on a rock until they attach.
