new reef tank

We are currently cycling our new 75g tank, we dont have anything but rock/sand in the tank. Most of our levels are ok (where we would expect them at 1 week of cycling), but the Calcium level is high-550-600. We are getting a clouding effect in the tank. Any suggestions?

Are you adding anything to the tank? Because if you are don't. I would not expect calcium levels this high without the addition of something.

At this point of cycling all you should be doing is protein skimming good water movement and water changes.

I would do a 25% water change and take things from there. The clouding is most likely do to fouling of the water from inefficient skimming.
