can anyone out there give advice as to why our tank at the moment is getting tiny air bubbles everywhere there are hundreds please help

Sometimes if my skimmer is turned up to high or just not quite dialed in right I have the same problem. You might be getting some in through your overflow as well, has it been worked on recently? If it got tweeked or something that might cause that. I'm sure there are a lot of possibilities that could cause that.

hiya yes we have been altering things as we put a new phosphate reductor on we will check out the overflow thanks for the advice

Almost ant time you add any chemicals to a tank your skimmer will kick into a bubble frenzy until it balances everything back out

agreed with brody. just give it a week or so and it should be back to normal. another i noticed was water conditioner makes those little bubbles to very quickly! so if you're using Water Conditioner, you'll experience this problem.
