hello would like to know what i should buy for my first salt water tank setup can you also tell me prices on item and what it would run me .thank you.please respond .father trying to make daughters happy .thank you

Would you like to have fish only ?
Or reef that truly dictates price difference...
For our first tank we had a 30 gallon tall glass tank with 2 -52 watt power compact lights 25 pounds of live rock and a skilter filter (the filter I didnt like)40 pounds of crushed coral and a titanium heater. The whole tank (without fish/corals) you can get for under a few hundred dollars by doing research online you can go high or low as far as cost. I now have thousands of dollars in equipment , yet I still use tupperware in my system because it works great for a sump!!!http://www.msnusers.com/300gallon good luck with the tank search.Let me know if you have any more questions?
