Caribbean Live Rock is a porous rock that is available by the pound. Since this rock is lighter it it's recommended weight per gallon is between 0.75 to 1.25 pounds. The advantages of using this unique rock is the incredible diversity of coloration and the fact you can get pieces with coral otherwise unseen in the trade since these are protected by the United States from collection. This live rock is composed of very porous calcium carbonate that is well covered in purple, pink, red, yellow, and green coralline algae.
