The Rainfordi Butterflyfish, also known as the Rainford's Butterflyfish, is yellow with two broad gray-blue stripes with yellow-orange margins on the body. The gray-blue stripes have small spots on them. There is also a dark streak on the tail.
The Rainfordi Butterflyfish requires a 75 gallon or larger aquarium that contains peaceful tank mates to smooth its transition to aquarium life.
The Rainfordi Butterflyfish survives by eating corals in the wild and has a difficult time adjusting to a new diet. It might be willing to try a coral skeleton coated with mashed meats. Because of its very selective diet, it should be kept by only the most experienced aquarists.
