Description: Characters: Skeletons are very similar to those of Euphyllia glabrescens. Polyps have branching tentacles almost identical to those of E. divisa.

Colour: Pale greenish-grey with lighter tentacle tips.

Similar species: Euphyllia glabrescens, E. paraglabrescens and E. paraancora can only be distinguished by the characters of polyp tentacles. Euphyllia yaeyamaensis is similar, but has both skeletal and tentacle distinctions.

Habitat: Shallow reef environments protected from wave action.

Abundance: Uncommon.
