Description: The Lyretail Anthias is also known as the Scalefin Anthias. The males have reddish hues, while the females tend to be more orange. The Anthias dwells in the middle of a tank and it helps to give it plenty of hiding places. Anthias species all share the trait of being hermaphroditic. If a dominant male perishes, the largest female of the group will often morph to take its place. Their diets consist of meaty preparations both fresh and frozen as well as flake foods of a variety. Any zooplankton and other that can be offered is a bonus as well.
