Description: The Pictilis Anthias is pinkish-blue, with a large blue oval on the caudal fin, and bright orange-red coloration on the rear of the body. This fish prefers a tank with multiple hiding places and caves. Anthias species all share the trait of being hermaphrodites. If a dominant male perishes, the largest female of the group will often morph to take its place. The diet should consist of zooplankton and algae as well as fresh or frozen meaty preparations. Flake foods may also be offered and accepted in a variety.
